Very passionate speech for Ron Paul at the WARA Straw Poll in Tuscaloosa, AL on August 18th, 2007. He totally DOMINATED the poll with 81% of the vote! The video is not the highest quality since I made it on my digital camera.
You're right we have failed as of yet, but in terms of wars we haven't been there that long yet. A military draft won't happen. A trillion dollars? Maybe so, but if ever stabalized Iraq will be one hell of a exporter, with it's oil and fertile land. Anything we can say at this point is theoretical and hypothetical though. Iraqis don't want us there? That's speculation, but wouldn't be the first time, esp. in states of emergency, that people didn't know what's best for them.
If you say so, or it might be that the other candidates were trying to win the election by concentrating on states with more electoral influence, and Ron Paul took the opportunity to sieze more of the stoner vote.... the war was wrong and IS wrong(no one can argue against that), but its more wrong to leave now without trying to stablize it first. its impractical to think that we can leave now, but then again, impracticallity is to be expected from ideals-above-reason-ron-paul.
Let's see....if the supporters of the other candidates had turned out an average or 100 votes for their candidate, there would have been 1,216 votes cast and Ron Paul would have still dominated. Where were they? Why did they not have the gumption or the desire to get off their duffs? It's because they don't have the passionate, burning desire to see change in this country...to see freedom restored...to see us mind our own business and not engaged in unconstitutional, immoral wars. That's why!
Of course. I would EXPECT the free staters to support Ron Paul.
GO RON, GO.
