@EarlofCrawford Nice and mature Earl, I am sure you have lots of training in healthcare right? I have 10 years of higher education studying the body with degrees in Biology, Chemistry and Chiropractic. It completely amazes me that people like you only think you are only qualified to talk about healthcare only if you cut and drug folks. BTW google rules and I do think a person can use the internet to learn more then their doctor.

Socialized health care works in Europe, and it can work here. It's a matter of will, not a way. Health insurance is evil.

You might lose money but you gain in Gods world.:-)

Teachers are treated in a similar way - those who are not educators are ready and willing to tell us how to best do our jobs. It's easy for someone on the outside to criticize and offer simplistic solutions as if they really know what they are talking about. I am sad you gave up a career you enjoyed because of outside interference.

@laylow12000 I beg to differ. I had migraines. The MD solution? Narcotic pain killers. I didn't want to go there.
I actually went out with a chiro. He cured my headaches in a matter of 6 months. That has been nearly 20 years.
My chiro friend accupuntured my dog with nerve damage. It allowed him to walk. Some chiros are better than others. It's rarely good to make blanket statements about any profession.

Chiropractors aren't doctors. They aren't even accepted by the medical community. They try to hook you into going back to their office for life! Avoid them like the leeches they are.

and underneath my shoulderblade. My neurosurgeon told me that where this tumor is located.. he didn't think that it could be causing me the pain in those areas ? But I am not having pain anywhere else - except for a little pain down the middle of my upper back - which never amounts to much. I know one thing, there's no sleeping at night when the pain in the right arm starts throbbing - shooting right through the elbow - bad news is. Surgery required !! NO INSURANCE. Thanks for listening :)

Steven here again Dr. Lupo - glad to see ur getting rid of those nasty fatty Lipomas. Why do u have to be awake for the surgery ?? Just this past easter sunday, I was diagnosed with a Primary Tumor Level 3 located in my thoracic spine - inside the Dura and it overlaps T2 and T3 - and u know cuz ur a Dr. that this can be very painful - compressing on the vital nerves... This one seems to be attacking my upper extremeties more than my lower - throbbing, shooting pain down my right arm....continued

Hi Dr. Lupo - My name is Steven, I'm srry if I spelled ur name wrong. I really enjoyed your documentary on the way our government rules us in everything and health care also. I don't even know you, but I must say that I'm proud of you for what u believe in and stand for. I watched ur surgery - didnt bother me in the least bit, as I have a strong stomach and think now that maybe I should've gone to Med school...Lmao :)What do u think about Obama ? lmao again !! "To be continued"

The idiocy of some of the comments bashing Chiropractic are based in ignorance. Look at the curriculum people. It's 90% of the same stuff an MD takes, except less about Pharmaceuticals and Surgery.

Hi Darren, I loved the lipoma video. I was wandering with your training and medical experience why haven't you considered removing some of your lipomas yourself. All you need is a scalpel, lidocaine and a stich or two, a pretty basic prodedure other people on you tube have done themselves??
Don't get me started on chiropractors. But he's right, somethings really messed up. But medical tourism in the US is huge. Canada has paid for a portion of a hospital in Minn. because it's cheaper to send patients here. People fly here from all over the world to get surgeries they have to wait months to get back in Europe, all countries that have health care . They aren't flying to Costa Rica. Going to Costa Rica for surgery sounds insane. I don't think an MD would do it. A Chiropractor maybe.

they is a booming surgery market in Costa Rica, South Africa, India and Thailand. Whats up with no love for chiros btw?

I had 2 removed last fall - from my lower back (right next to my spine) and a smaller one from my right arm - less then an inch from the one that was removed when I was a baby! The one in my back was about the same size as the bigger one on you...Curious tho, how much was your surgery? Mine cost $16500, but no cost to me - health insurance covered it all (Call CHP where I live). Are you having any issues with scar tissue? I'm just curious, I don't know anyone else who has ever had any...

Sorry I just found this, I think I have had 10 cut out at about $1300 each, Unfortunately my insurance did not cover all of it, but that is why I never go to docs for anything. I am saving up and taking my business outside this system. I think in costa rica I can get 10 done for $1000.
