this guy is a great guitarist, very good demo of the amp.

and trust me, there is no way on earth any carvin amp could even begin to compare to a bogner. sorry, but its just the way it is.

I thought he looked like Kid Rock too. but the difference is, this guy here has talent.

Awesome man! I got my Carvin a couple weeks back and was blown away by the clean channel. I would have recommended that you get a used vintage one because the used ones use 6L6's instead of EL34's but you have the option of switching them out with the new one. I haven't gotten the opportunity to crank the gain channel but i'm expecting great things. I got the exact same one as SuperSonicMods for about $260 on CL. Tell me your thoughts on the amp.

hey, its all good. I have to tell you, I have opened my eyes a bit too. I just ordered a Carvin X100B because of the video on it. I started researching it after I saw your comments on it. its too interesting to not try one for myself. the price is awesome. $650 new and made in USA!  the Bogner shiva is an amazing amp, one of the best, but I am always looking for great tones and good prices. Thanks!

You know what... You're right man, I'm going to have to try it out someday. It isn't a fair assessment until I actually hear both. It definitely has something that puts it in a league of it's own. Since you seem to know a good deal about amps, can you think of any other amps similar to this. The Carvin was my first tube amp, so i need to learn more.

@D1vid3Byo Until you have played a Bogner Shiva, you cant fully appreciate what it can do. Once you play one, there is no need to justify the price. it will do that for you.

Personally i prefer the x100b over this. Not to say that this sounds bad, It sounds fking awesome. But it doesn't justify the $1,000+ it costs over the x100b.

Of course if i had money to burn I'd go for this amp.

I've got one of these for sale if anyone is interested. It's like new, the 6L6 version that does not need the buffered effects loop cable. Like new, removable casters, cover.
