In my opinion this is what the opening theme song should have been. When I first heard this song I immediately thought James Bond and what better duet to replace Jack White and Alicia Keys with then Terence Trent D'Arby and Des'ree.
Unfortunately, this song lacks some vital Bond theme characteristics. Sure, it's an 80s classic by its own virtue, but it'd have never been chosen for a Bond film. Many songs seem to fit the Bond niche at first hearing; yet, it's not as simple as it seems. As for the monstrosity produced by Jack White and Alicia Keys, well... shit happens.
A great classic that may be right for a future Bond movie but . . . . . . . . NO.
