Excellent & informative video; thanks for posting this.

As expected, the autopsy findings only confirm the reality & facts of this historic loss: that all 4 occupants were killed on impact of the aircraft.

The notion that anyone could survive the crash, & then be killed/shot thereafter (by another survivor) is ridiculous fantasy.

The dynamic forces generated on impact killed all instantaneously, & the BB was thrown further due to his size & weight.

This conspiracy theory is an utter joke!

A lot of historically inaccuracies here. They did not take off in a "blinding snowstorm". Everyone but Roger Peterson was ejected. Peterson was an innocent kid, had been up long hours flying a craft with an altimeter that was the reverse to what he had been taught on. Google 'spatial disorientation" and that is what happened. He thought he was climbing, was actually descending. 10 degrees to the right in a shallow descent. Plane hit the ground and that unfortunately was that.

It does make me feel better to know with all those bone fractures, they all probably died instantly. Such a sad, sad story!

Oh - and I find NOTHING strange about a son wanting to take time with the body of the father he NEVER got to see in life! As a Catholic, we have open-casket wakes for almost everyone and it is part of the grieving process...very normal and very natural.

That was incredibly interesting!!! I had no idea that the Big Bopper was exhumed or that there had been questions about how he died. I live in Iowa and one of my best friends' mother was at that last show in Clear Lake...and grew up with my father listening to these guys on 8 track in the truck, so we have talked about the deaths of Buddy, Richie, and the Bopper many times.

i cant believe they opened the casket.. gross.. and boppers son was talking to the 50 year old corpse?! for an hour?! damn.. i could never look into that casket if that was my dad even if i never new him and desired that badly to see his body even though it is not really his body this is freakin me out

Dr. Bass says that the only one exiting the plane was the Big Bopper. Also he say's they took off in a blinding snow storm. So if Buddy and Richie weren't thrown from the plane they cannot exit the plane. If he is correct.

@TheZagline All the occupants except the pilot were indeed thrown out of the plane, but what Dr. Bass mentioned was the fact that the Bopper was thrown further than Buddy and Ritchie were.

@laurierken He may not be 100% familiar with the story. He just looked at the body and probably heard the story in passing a few years ago when he was preparing to do it. Still, he should not tell the story inaccurately.

Some new news I hadn't heard before. I always thought Buddy Richie and the Bopper were thrown from the plane, but according to this guy, only the Big Bopper was. Interesting!

Where did this gunshot conspiracy come from? In order for that to have happened the plane had to crash, the Big Bopper had to have survived and started walking away, then a mysterious person would have had to appeared and shot Bopper. Then the shooter would have had to discard his gun in the field. Just ridiculous.
