It is confirmed that Pakistan Air Force JF-17 Thunder will be participating in the Izmir air show in Turkey along with F-16 fighter jests. Three JF-17 Thunders from the Pakistan Air Force participated in Farnborough Air Show and Zhuhai Air Show last year in order to attract customers. Chinese company CATIC has said that are in talks with about eight countries for sale of the JF-17 Thunder. Pakistan air force has already announced its plans to purchase around 250 JF-17 Thunder fighter jets to replace its old inventory. Pakistan has signed an agreement with the China for the second batch of 50 JF-17 Thunders this month. JF-17 is jointly developed and produced by Pakistan and China. Both countries are offering JF-17 Thunder to the countries which are looking to replace their old fighter jets with inexpensive modern fighter jets. Alan Warnes has also said that Sherdil aerobatics display team of the Pakistan Air Force Academy has cancel its scheduled visit to the Izmir air show in Turkey. @bluesky747er thats all good and well. i like jf-17 but it seriously needs a much powerful engine, more use of composite materials and perhaps even more improved FCS if it is to get anywhere close to the viper.

For Pakistan the JF-17 program commenced far behind India's LCA program which combined French, Russian and Israeli expertise. The PAF, largely the aircraft designer, remained focused & clear on chosen perimeters. Unlike India's confused choices for its LCA that became anything but 'Light' & 'Combat', the JF-17 tested only four years after the program & is now taking part in ground attack and exercise missions. Arrogance and self awareness don't fit; LCA test flying, JF-17 fully operational.
