Was the world coming to an end?? An interview on ET with some dork who could never get rock & roll? Luckily, we made it through... deep breath, Charlie.

  • @ThatGuyFromPhilly thats a seinfeld episode...kramer gets seizures from mary heart

  • 0:44 that lady wants him. I don't blame her ;D

  • Go The Bossman

  • @jademm The "dumbing down" You nailed it right on the head. From these shows that focus on who wore what designer on a red carpet to "Fast Furious 6" (or whatever number they are on, a "sighting of Justin Bieber with a tattoo," to who got the boot on "Dancing with the HasBeen's" Don't get me started on the TV/reality shows. So fed up with them. ZERO substance, mindless staged drama..and cheap to create. I know some here enjoy it and thats fine..their choice. just not my cup of tea.

The TMZ-style of entertainment reporting is just one example of society's "dumbing down". It's an insult to intelligence and very cynical to believe that the public isn't interested in substance anymore. Most of the entertainment stories aren't even about the crafting of art, creative inspiration, behind-the-scene glimpses into the industry, etc. Now, it's a diet of humiliating "gotcha!" moments and elaborate product placements (e.g. focus on jewelery designer to the stars).

  • @jademm I know..can't stand these shows today. 20,25 years ago E.T. focused on music, movies, an interview with and actor/actress. Now, along with "Extra", that god awful "Insider" show. It's all gossip tabloid 'TMZ' type of mindless crap. The funniest..more like sad story came out waaay back in the late 80s. I remember a woman was literally getting epileptic seizures - Mary Hart's voice was triggering them! Sure, she is and always has been annoying, but that took the cake.

  • Nice upload!

  • Not the worst Bruce interview I've ever seen, but let's face it -- us *true* Boss fans have forgotten more things about Mr. Springsteen than the likes of John Tesh, Mary Hart, and this "Barbara Howard" ditz knew in the first place...when it comes to really understanding rock n' roll, superficial shows the likes of ET should GO home, not phone home !! :-)

  • That makes me think... what if his talent was never found? I think I woulda killed myself
