Kata Karon Heaven on Earth

The Kata Karon Hotels Business Association - a committee group representing 40 or more hotels / resorts working in partnership with the Municipality are pulling together for a better future. Plans involved are redesigning sidewalks / communal areas improving the overall destination. New marketing plans are also now being implemented. An identity logo has been developed symbolizing the three beaches of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon with the strap line "Heaven on Earth". To support this program a promotional video has been produced by Helicam Co Ltd (supported and sponsored by CIMB Thai Bank) that will be available on many hotel websites and TV channels. One million postcards have been printed and are being distributed throughout local business people throughout Kata Karon. The main inspirational people behind these plans have been Khun Somchai Silapanont from the Marina Phuket Resort, Khun Warayut Horkaew from The Sawasdee Village, Khun Kittipong Jeamtrakarn from Music in the Park Co. Ltd. and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Boehm University of Kaiserslautern Germany working in conjunction with Helicam Co Ltd. The aim of the program is to reinforce Kata Karon as the favorite family destination.
