  • Why do Diesels and Electriccs go through Red Bank

  • All diesel trains originate at either Hoboken or Bay Head. The North Jersey Coast Line is not electrified the rest of the line to Bay Head and as a result diesel are used.

  • yea.. and what really bugs me is that long stretch where you keep switching from the third rail to overhead wires and the lights keep going out... lol

  • NJT is coming out with an engine like that. ALP-45DP.

  • Why can't they use locomotives that work on caternaries and diesel?
