This is a story created with children about life in the past at Guisborough. Originally we were going to make up a story about the First World War but it changed to evacuees as this was something that the children had some knowledge about from their school work. Children were evacuated to the area but mostly into Northallerton but with poetic licence we changed it to fit the setting. Having recorded the story outside led to the inclusion of the sound of the nearby bells and some rainfall. The idea is to incorporate a number of historical facts about the subject while using our imagination to create a story. There were 4 stories created in total and it was necessary to create one for a different era; Romans, Henry the 8th, 17th century and WW2, as well as having a man, boy, woman and a girl as the main focus. We also chose to have 2 positive stories and two with unhapy endings.
