This video shows how to run Dev-C++ from USB memory stick. It's very nice to have an IDE in your pen drive. Well, at least I like to have one whenever I want to make any shitty program or algorithm.

I haven't tried installing other libraries to it (as I prefer VC++ for normal projects), but I think it would be possible as well.

In this video I'm using CodySafe as memory manager, but it should work with any other memory manager which accepts custom program selection (to select the *.exe file to launch) and the command-line option.

I created this video because I have found that some people are having problems with running Dev-C++ as portable IDE. I have increased speed in some intervals because my computer isn't that good and it just takes a while to do those operations (don't forget I was recording at the same time as well).

P.S. Sorry for my English, as it's not my main Language.

  • How to make an aimbot ?

  • @Spotify49

    1. This video has nothing to do with that.

    2. It depends on the game you want to make the bot for.

    3. don't expect it to be simple.

  • so dude this is like portable flash player on a memory stick wich works on any computer?

  • No. Dev-c++ is a C++ IDE (compiler, editor, debugger).

If you asked what does portable mean then yes, it works on every Windows Machine.

I've got portable FireFox browser with flash player in it. All you need is to copy the flash player *.dll file and you've got the portable browser+flash player

  • Well dude can u send me that pleeeaasee :D:D:D:D

  • send me a message with your email. Don't forget to mention that you want the Firefox from my USB. Maybe I gonna remember, not many people write me their emails, but still - mention it.

  • is it hard to make a wireframe 3d engine in c++? it has all te framework needed?

  • @VentoLT I didnt expect it to be simple! I Want to make for css..

  • @VentoLT Cool video thing that bothered me portable is not related to winblows :) means a application that operates without the need of any installation on the host OS.

For XP users not users=documents and settings.
