well how can a throttle body give poor fuel economy if u need it to run ur car effectivley, thats like saying an alternator actually kills engine life

what ive noticed is when people install the TBS on bigger engines they dont see much of a hp gain ect. but i had a buddy install one on his V6 camry and saw just with the TBS a 16hp gain at the dyno. can anyone explain?

So many uninformed and uneducated folks on the TBS subject. If they didn't work then they wouldn't be making them and selling so many. Fact is they work and I've seen gains on dyno's from installing TBS', CAI, filters and more if you do it all at once.

@CaMaRo1RoC89 plastic would not melt. some plastics would but my upper intake is plastic on my truck. and does fine. there are metal and plastic ones available. point is. hit the dyno with it off.. then hit it with it on and there will not be a change in power which would be caused by a change in the fuel/air mixture or better atomization of the gas. not sure you will see either

@johnnyboy922 to be fair its not plastic...plastic would melt at that heat im sure.... the TB does get realy hot....well i got it for 15 bucks.. so it doesnt hurt....

@CaMaRo1RoC89 you may not notice it. but its a fact that it is there even though it may not effect it to be noticeable. nor is a spacer worth the money. but you can spend money on stupid mods or you can find better way to make power not with a little piece of plastic

@05corvette1 ...... LLLAAAAGGGGG the last thing i want is more distance between the filter and engine. if you dont think it creates lag then go ahead and keep doing it but the throttle response your looking for is accomplished my shortening the distance
