I had a buddy with a truck exactly like mine. He said out of everything he's done to the truck, he said that one was just wasting money. What's sad is people swear by TBS all the time. The TBS is just like that crappy Tornado that came out. Even benchmarks said it didn't do anything.

well how can a throttle body give poor fuel economy if u need it to run ur car effectivley, thats like saying an alternator actually kills engine life

That's just a freeflow... the real "cold air" intake kits go inside your bumper where the air is actually colder (cus it's further from the HOT engine)

throttle body spacers is designed to greatly improve the low-end torque and horsepower characteristics of your engine. it accomplishes this by spacing the throttle body by 1" and adding a dyno-proven, helix-style bore. As the intake air passes through the spacer, the helix bore creates a vortex action that improves atomization. This allows for more efficient combustion, resulting in improved drivability and increased fuel efficiency.

right after the air pass into the intake runners and past the valves thus making it completely pointless...

im a 1st year mech, i asked our head tech at work (been in the game for over 30years now and is a Master technician) he said this decrease power because after the throttle body the air moves in "crashing waves" motion, this bore is design to straighten the air and make it travel faster, but this doesnt work as engines and air intake systems these days are designed around the principal of this 'crashing wave' motion of air into the engine

What exactly does the throttle body spacer add to the car, I mean what purpose does it serve? Do they make those for any type of car?
