Marian Kane/Jolly, my grandmother wrote that poem in 1927 while at an all girls catholic school. It was first published in the "Ursulinian." Her daughter verified this with some nuns from the school. I don't know why the poem was published anonymously. This story was a legend until when my aunt verified it as a fact. Marian was a very loving, kind, happy woman. I made a vlog with her poem...

@humparepatta - Thanks for your comment. I agree about the text. I would change it but I believe it turned out like that for a reason. Some of my videos are a snapshot of that peticular moment in my life, an expression of how I felt. So it is what it is.

Originally, "Show Me The Way" by Styxx was heard, but I had to replace that due to copywright problems.  Now the song is "One Last Breath" by Creed. I think it's a good match.

Kevin Mayhew doesn't have a hand in this poem, just it's pockets. I see that Kevin Mayhew is a publishing company one of many around the world that use the poem on posters, cards, etc. I assure you it has been verified that my grandmother wrote the poem in the 1920's. I however am not seeking any financial gain from her work. I simply want people to give her the recognition. She submitted the poem to the nuns at her all girls Catholic school as anonymous. I don't know why she did this.
