Krystal Pure water treatment products are available exclusively from Lowes. As a factory representative for Krystal Pure, I field a lot of calls from consumers about our products and how to use them.

In this video, I join my installers on-site for a Krystal Pure KS15HE water softener install and discover the customer's kitchen and bath fixtures are heavily scaled with hard water deposits. The homeowners explained that they purchased a physical water treatment (PWT) device in 2007 because the manufacturers stated their product "...physically changes the minerals in water to prevent them from forming scale."

As you can see in the video, THERE IS A LOT OF SCALING...especially on the Kohler faucet and the black granite countertop at the kitchen sink.

Physical water treatment products, unlike conventional water softeners, typically make no claims to remove anything - only to treat water in such a way that their products reduce scaling without using salt or water as water softeners normally do. Our team installed a 50,000 grain Krystal Pure KS15HE water softener, and I believe those homeowners are going to be happy for many, many years. The process went so well they decided to install a KR15 reverse osmosis system for their drinking and cooking...they were really excited!

A gentleman promoting the use of PWT systems similar to the one in this video sent me a message about mineral removal with reverse osmosis - anyone considering purchasing water treatment products such as reverse osmosis systems or products that claim to "physically changes the minerals in water to prevent them from forming scale" should do their homework - and always remember, everyone's water is not the same!
