I got to open for Paul Collins last August at Cha Cha's in Coney Island, and he did this and all his hits - solo acoustic.
It's true what they say - if a song kills, you can pull it off with just a guitar and a melody.
He's a very cool individual, as well as being immensely talented.

As good as this studio cut is, The Beat was 10 times better live. Saw them as the warm-up band for 20/20 in 1979 – they kicked off with R&RG, and within 15 seconds every single person in the joint was doing the pogo and/or slam dancing. They were so good the crowd actually booed the main act off the stage... and that's why no one's heard of 20/20 these days...
