  • That's right, there's never a guarantee that a short sale will close and there's only so much that can be done to expedite the process. Making sure that nothing falls through the cracks, as you say, is the most important thing. Problem is, for those who don't know what they're doing, there's an awful lot that can fall through those oh so many cracks!

  • Your description of short sales sounds right on. I'm not an expert, just a short sale buyer whose done a lot of research. Most testimonials you read online tend to one exterme or another. Many will tell you to avoid short sales like the plague, while some short sale "experts" will claim they can close nearly all short sales in under 60 days. Truth is, there are several steps and you have to prepare yourself for a long process and make sure nothing falls thru the cracks along the way.
