Theres a few issues with using this trick (assume 24 spines):

1) You need to pull off 24 drones from mining for ~30 game seconds (~400mins) PLUS 25% of the spines' cost (600 minerals).

2) You need enough money in the bank to create the spines (2400mins) plus the units (1200/1200 for mutas, 900/300 for roaches, etc).

3) You're spending ~25 game seconds making spines/units/cancel/send drones back to mine when you could be microing

If you can pull this off, chances are you've already won handily

i did this once, but didnt cancel the buildings on time...

your videos were great and you had some great advice, but you also had some bad advice. the hold k and the creepless buildings were smart i use them myself , but the unlimited army was horrible. it is not cost effect or will it work early off you might have a chance but builds ultras take too long and roaches just wont cut it plus and silver or high tier person would change to air in a heart beat.

Actually I have seen this tactic used in a number of grand master level matches, ususally giving zerg about 210 - 220 supply, which can turn the favor around, especially when going against a maxed protoss ball.
