No student section touches Penn State's. The rest of the crowd at PSU is loud, but possibly more because of numbers than anything else.

Ive only travelled the BigTen and ACC. I think Wisconsin and VT may be as loud, or louder, per capita; but not as a whole. The Beav is the loudest (for big games) that I've been to.

But to be fair, I went to big games for those two teams, as well as Penn State.  The D1-AA games are cheaper, so that's where I usually end up.

Good God! The ref was right behind Lord, and saw the same angle as the end zone camera, which showed clearly it was a fumble, and he STILL blew the call. Imbecile!

This INT and the blown fumble call absolutely blows the "Nebraska Powerhouse Offrense" MYTH to smithereens. The PSU defense is pounding relentlessly on Nebraska, blowing them up, smashing their poise, killing their spirit. Mistakes, nerves, lack of poise, lack of competence show big time as Nebraska is destroyed by Penn State. Even the "D" scores with ease here.

This was the best PSU game I ever attended. This is going to be a great annual series between PSU and UNL when it resumes in Big Ten play in 2011. Let's Go State!

I went to PSU and lived in NY during the late 90's Yankees dynasty and went to a lot of those GREAT Yankee playoff games....I had some friends from home come out for this game and we all agreed....the loudest sporting event we've ever been to.

This game was louder than 2005 OSU in my opinion. It was sorta like MRob's coming out party.

This year I have started my college life as a Penn State freshman and have already seen 3 games (YSU, TEM, ILL) all with crowds over 100K.

As a team, we suck this year, but I can't wait for the Michigan game, mostly just for the environment.

I would have loved to have been at this or the 2005 OHST game.

I remember watching this game and seeing both teams come out of the tunnel. I'm not trying to be Nostradamus here, but I remember just having a gut feeling PSU was going to kick Nebraska's ass. Regardless, this was the first season Nebraska really lost a bit of that swagger they were so known for in the '90s. They seem to SLOWLY BUT SURELY be getting some of that back under Bo Pelini. We'll see what happens in the next few years or so.
