Watch the Muldoon 15.65m Longer Semi Trailer manoeuvre through a small industrial unit and reverse into a unit. Then, watch how a 13.6m Standard Length Trailer completes the same manoeuvre.
The Sidewinder Steering System (not to be confused with other inferior steer systems) offers huge benefits to operators. See http://muldoon.com/Sidewinder-About.aspx to discover how this steer system differs from any other available.
Why is this unique? I am driving a forced-stearing for years now. And mine also works when reversing.
Search for "lzv simon loos" to see one of the systems we use.
Nice stearing of the first driver. Stearing-axels create a huge backswing.

Our steer system is unique in that it is operated by a unique cam and roller system driven off the 5th wheel axle coupling. See our website to see how it works in more detail. Conventional steer systems reach full turning capacity when tractor unit is at 90deg to the trailer, not as beneficial or effective as it could be and never achieves full steer potential, ours reaches full turning capacity when at an angle of only 40deg, a much faster response which is working at all times.

You ask also about the steering axles creating a huge backswing. We did recognise a problem with this and have come up with a new development which reduces this significantly to only marginally more than a standard 13.6m trailers backswing. I hopefully can divulge all the details of this development next week. Visit our website and join our mailing list and you will receive up to date information as this progresses. Thanks for your comments.
