@Ec130Rhine the ar drone is twice the price and a piece of crap are you really planning on doing percision manuevers with a i phone or i pad lolllll while your trying to fly your parrot with your eye pad you will probably have a couple thugs creap up on you for your i pad lol

@Ec130Rhine man this thing is the perfect size this thing is a beast in the air very cool and im sure a bigger one will come out soon but it is still a must have i promise try it out you will eat your words really fun and holds a camera no problem

i have an mQX, an mCP x, blade 450, and compass 7HV. i fly the mqx cuz u can put it through hell and back and it will cost u little to nothing. it takes the worry factor out for those who kno how to atleast fly a fixed pitch heli. this thing is balls to wall fun. very precise, powerful and fast for a micro. ive crsahed this thing over 10 times doing stunts and haven't bought a replacement part yet. absolute joy

@MrTurboparker Well my local hobby shop was nice enough to put one on hold for me so I had picked one up lastnight and let me tell you this thing is a blast! I cannot believe how durable it is and stable! Also you were 100% right, it flys just like the mCP X (obviously a lot more stable) but its extremely responsive. I took it outside with an inch or two of snow on the ground and had plummeted right into the snow and it worked fine, though I don't think I will be doing that again.

@begley09 i have an mcpx and it feels the same to fly/hover. i liked it.

@MrTurboparker Thanks! Those settings seem to work!

@Ec130Rhine The drone is a joke compared to most anything especially the MQX. Eflite hit a home run with this one. My brother and I picked up a couple of these the other day an we are having a blast flying them around. We have nearly all the blade copters and some nice SeBart aircraft in our little hangar and the MQX is the first aircraft we want to fly.
@MrTurboparker What is your travel set to?

@azsxdc731,
I fly it with my Futaba 10CHP. My settings may not directly transfer to other brands. I set ATV to +/-140% on all channels except throttle. Full rates are set to 100%, with -60% expo on pitch & roll and -20% expo on yaw. For precision flying in the house, I have low rates set to +/-30% on pitch & roll and +/-60% on yaw, with -20% expo on all three. (BTW - Spektrum expo is reversed from Futaba.)

How hard are one of these to fly for an intermediate flyer? I fly the Mcpx at a steady hover/SFF indoors and was wondering whats the learning curve like?

@begley09,
I also fly the mCP X. You should have no trouble at all with the mQX, as it is much easier to fly than a CP heli. It's super-stable, very precise, yet it's nearly as agile & responsive as the mCP X when you want it to be. In still air, it will hover hands-off for 30 seconds or more - and then, it just starts slowly sliding away.

Well that thing to small it look smaller then the ar drone if they came out with a bigger one an more thing on it maybe I look in to get! Eflit don't know anything about quadcopter

@Ec130Rhine,
Do you actually fly hobby-grade RC planes & helis? (I'm betting 'no'.) Elfite knows far more about quads than Parrot does. The AR Drone is nothing but a toy. The mQX flies far better, handles 10-15 MPH winds, can fly ~30 MPH, do loops, rolls & flips, and it uses hobby-grade components. The AR Drone can't do any of the above, and it uses toy-grade parts. The mQX uses a real transmitter with 1000-2000-foot range, rather than the AR Drone's crappy, short-range Wi-Fi link.
