brad delp last interview 3-7-07

This is the last interview that Brad Delp gave on March 7 2007, just 2 days before his tragic suicide. It really makes you wonder what on earth made Brad want to take his own life. He sounded happy, looked forward to the future shows with Beatlejuice and Boston, no one could have ever seen it coming. It will always be a mystery to so many of us as to what, within the 2 days after this interview made him want to plan his suicide so carefully and go through so much trouble to do it. It was well thought out and he was absolutely determined to end his life.

In this interview he said that the worse things was that he had seven stitches in his hand and was over it by the time of this interview yet some of you think it's the pain meds anyway? @PeachWNK perhaps. it's all speculation though, no one knows for sure what was going through his mind. He did hint at that he was looking forward to an upcoming summer tour with Boston, so that would've meant that he wasn't planning on kiling himself. However maybe when he got home he changed his mind.

@cbarrett34 Brother,i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy,seriously.Every fay feeling pain,and the more you talk about it,the more people are turned off to it,even your own family,so basically you are on your own.It is hard,but if you could get a job(which isn't easy)that in itself would make you feel better,also in that situation you don't need no one,because in this life money is god.I know that is cynical,but it is true.

@sopitabo The point I was trying to make is that I have depression too, for years, and am basically at rock bottom right now, but i would never kill myself. So, it's very hard for me to have sympathy for rich rock stars like Brad Delp and Kurt Cobain, etc, who have all of this money, etc, but then kill themselves. with all of the money they have, they could enter treatment centers, get great counseling, etc. so, it's really a waste when they want to just end it. so unnecessary

As an avid Boston fan since their inception, I was quite angry and heavily disappointed when I heard the news of Brad Delp's death. And you're right. There's nothing in this interview to indicate or even "hint" at what he was planning to do. I'm sure he had it planned well before this interview took place. We will never know the reasons. However, I will ALWAYS admire him and remain a true fan for the rest of my life.
