That's coz this isn't meant to be punk per-se, it's "post-punk" ie: alternative music that came after, and was heavily influenced by the ethos (tho not necessarily the 'sound') of the punk rock revolution.

Yeah winning wars is awesome.. The thousands of cases of torture and executions in the US are so cool..

Just to get the last horse across the line, My statement was under the influence of this new and dandy invention "irony".. What this means is that I did not actually mean what I said, but sarcasticly (also a new term, take notes) drew attention to the fault of the guy who, further down, equalled that Britain was inferior to the US because of our lack of won wars..
