Speaking a language other than English or French in parliament is one of the most disrespectful things I've ever seen spoken in the house. This is a selfish act that has nothing to do with politics and is very un-Canadian. If everyone did this, there would be great divide, as opposed to everyone being on the same page.

Contribute to the cultural fabric of the country? Wow.. blocking streets, putting children in the front lines of protests? Most would disagree.

being a Tamil Canadian, I am happy that a Tamil WOMAN got elected into parliment, However, I think its totally inappropriate for her to speak Tamil in the CANADIAN parliment. Canadian parliment has a wide range of people from different ethnicity and you don't hear them speaking their language. There are two offical languages in Canada: English and French, and it is only those two languages that must be spoken and addressed in Parliment.
