This song was written by Jim Steinman (who wrote most of Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell songs and many of those on Bat Out of Hell II) and I always thought he probably originally wrote it with Meat Loaf in mind (his epic style of vocals). They were not on good terms at the time, so it Celine bought the song from him.... luckily he retained rights and allow Meat Loaf to use it.
