Inland Hurricane, actually a Derecho, as described by weather service, as it happened in Marion, Illinois on May 8, 2009. This video was taken out my patio door facing slightly north of due east...estimated 80-90 MPH sustained winds with maximum gusts in the mid to upper 90's...

  • I was cowering in a garage all during this sucker and peeking out the door now and then. Then I thought man it's got to be one of those fabled 3 mile wide tornadoes and I got under the workbench and prayed.

    Sucker must've lasted 20 minutes!

  • AHH the storm god it was halliorus when i asked my teacher if the sky look green and she said yes the beep over the innercome we were told to go in the hall!
