I'm actually a fan of Haitink's version. I think the best version ever. But I don't know all the movements performed by Gergiev. I know just this one. And I must say that I'm simply fascinated of this last part of the 2nd movement. He focuses on the accompanying parts and the main melody becomes accompanying itself. Although I had heard this symphony several hundred times (no joke), to me it sounds like a new piece.

Great interpretation. I would like to hear the rest.

  • I love Gergiev's expression at the last chord

  • valery gergiev- best of the best

  • The temp are slower than I expected - it doesn't hold the attention as easily as Haitink's CD.

  • y a mi me gustaria escuchar TODA la sinfonia!!!!

(and I would like to hear the entire symphony!!!!!!)))

  • I wish I was in Tokyo in 2002

  • I'm surprised He/She knows how to use computers!

  • Yeah, I'd like to hear the first as well. (Me gustaria escuchar el primer movimento)
