@Bowfinger6383 We moved the rail supports up because the previous mountings were not aligned correctly, probably because there were 3 & they werent evenly spaced. And yes all in studs (one of the prev ones wasnt) Also it did seem a bit off as the angle had the lower part of the rail lower to the stairs than the top part, not sure how that happened but thats how it was when we bought the house. No worries about the haters, water off a duck, good luck on your project & thanks for the comment.
