Standing and walking at work 3 hours will use 450 Calories. Sitting at work for 5 hours will use 450 Calories. A leisurely 1 hour walk will use 250 Calories. Gardening 1-1/2 hours expends 450 Calories. Sitting at home for 4 hours uses 340 Calories. . . . And 8 hours of bed rest will use 500 Calories.
