  • I pass by this church all the time but the bells never ring....What time do they usually ring? I live on Long Island so every time I getta chance I go up there by the LIRR Then I take the subway but seriously though...What time do the bells ring here?

    Altar bells in Holland are various from three till six bells. Most churches have two bells during low-mass.

    Big churches have more bells. I once served in a basilica where the warden gave one bell for every servent... Which where like eight... Whe didn't rang them all, haha

  • Most American bells have a tolling hammer mounted underneath for single peals.
