But I have to say one thing...alot of Persians are coming down with diabetes and heart problems. White rice and sugary dried fruit are kinda iffy. And dates are extremly high in sugar. It may not be traditionally persian, but leaving out the fruit and using brown rice may help just a bit more. And using olive oil is healthier. Just my opinion.
