Clifford T Ward - The Best Is Yet To Come

Clifford produced some fabulous tracks, but this one is my personal favourite - 'The Jewel In The Crown' if you like.

I want to introduce as many as possible to his music. When he passed away, it was an enormous loss to the world of beautiful songs/ballads. I want to help his music to live on.

I love this. One of my favourites though, is "Gaye" - I remember listening to it in my teens, on a camping trip with my parents, with my hear pressed to the radio and Radio Luxembourg crackling away!

Cliff was immensely proud of this song. Surprisingly it failed to make the top 100 in spite of some decent airplay. Cherish it.!

I am absolutely staggered by how beautiful his music is, i was a young man of 22 when he performed these songs, but looking back i must have been neolithic not to see how wonderful he was. "The best is yet to come"? That will be playing when they scatter my ashes.

@mymagnoliatree so true i remember listening to luxembourg and hoping it wouldnt fade in and out like it did when favourite songs such as this came on ..so different now of course not sure if better though..

This mans songs were - and are WOW! Noel Edmonds did one real good thing in introducing this man to the radio and music world. He was the man whose shows I heard CTW's stuff on first and most played. So for all the slagging you get Mr Edmonds. Thanks for Cliiford T Ward.
