Memorial Day 2006 - UCSD
At approximately 3:00 Tim Hawkinson's "Bear" sculpture in Jacobs School Courtyard will speak.
Infused with my poetic license she will say something to this effect:

...if you listen real close, you will hear them whisper
their legacy to you. Go on, lean in.
Listen, you hear it? — Carpe — hear it? — Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day make your lives extraordinary.

A Memorial to all the men and woman both military and personal, who have passed this way before us and have given us the opportunity to CARPE DIEM!
