I'm sorry but my physics is fine and you're wrong. The 'pancaking' of the floors downwards does not put bending stress on the vertical support columns. The floors just slide down. In fact it makes little difference to the downward compressive forces in each column. It's still the same overall weight. So there is no reason why the central support columns should collapse into sections - other than being cut by demolition charges (or thermate)

Not really, those that are willing to present a non-insane story backed up by actual evidence I (and I'd certainly hope others that buy the idea a bunch of pissed off religious fanatics that attempted to destroy these buildings twice in the past already did) would not be instantly discarded because there are a few lunatics stating such absurd claims. That said, to my knowledge, not a single credible story backed up by actual evidence has been presented to support a gov conspiracy.
