I'm not saying it's the most scientific test available, still gives you an idea of the line's resitance to abrasion.

Using thicker line is not an option for me, as I fisk light tackle on the surface. I'll try powerpro next time, if I can find it in Denmark.

all u guys making fun of this test is dumb its a great real life fishing situation test because that is how your line will be tested under the water the only thing he could have done dif is get all the lines wet first

not the greatest test in the world but it was very close to real life I'll accept the results.I just spooled up with power pro white 50 lb.braided line and I spooled up my other 2 reels with 80lb. spectrex IV I can't wait to see how they perform.I would like to see you test the spectrex if you can...

I don't think that Power Pro is as great as people say it does have some issues that bother me, maybe not everyone though. Power Pro is a hard for braided line and it swells up and shrinks after being wet making it loose on you spool. I personally prefer Spiderwire. Im not saying Power Pro is a bad line people hype it up too much

Powerpro is beast but wait for the Sufix 832 braid that should be available soon

ive switched all my line on all my poles to power pro a couple years ago after hearing about it, and i will NEVER use anything else. it may be just a little bit more than other line, but it is well worth it. very good quality line.

Powerpro is the best line on the market. I still remember the research and development of the line and it is amazing how it outpreforms its competitors.

Though I do agree that this test is bunk.

so true! Mono is a waste of time. powerpro is not only smooth, but it is so much stronger than its test. :) I won't use anything else.
