Just letting everyone know I am indeed still alive and will be putting up new episodes very soon. Originally, this was supposed to be part two of my New Avengers retrospective but I just couldn't get that going so I figured I'd just ramble about some things instead. Exciting, huh?

  • I hate the animation age ghetto it was a huge problem for me when I was in my teens my mom, sister, and grandmother used to yell at me all the time for watching cartoons telling me "you need to grow up it's too immature", finally after a few years I angrily convinced them that not every cartoon is "just for kids" pointing out innuendos and very violent scenes and I asked them "is this appropriate for kids?" and they admitted that it wasn't and they are now much more accepting of it.

  • @Johnffrey87 yeah, it's sad that it's still an issue in the Western world. it's something i'd like to be able to bring more attention to with my channel but i guess since my audience is obviously mostly comic fans i'm not really telling them anything they don't know. still, it's something i feel the need to sound off on every now again as animation is one of my very favourite things. thanks for watching.

  • I'm liking Shadowland aswell. I beleive it makes up for the crap I had to read in VOTMK.

  • @Pocuserve we'll see how it turns out. i'm still a little confused over how they dragged Ghost Rider into it. not that i don't like ghost Rider - but since when is he an ancient spirit summoned by ninjas?

I thought it was kind of cute how he recognized Moon Knight out of costume. i'm doing my best to dig up what history that actually have together.

  • have you ever read the marvel earth x books?

  • @hobbo3003 i just found Universe X for cheap so i'll be reading that quite soon. if i can figure it out, i'll try to do a future episode on it. cause i think it's interesting stuff.

  • @hobbo3003 yes, ive read the first one, Earth X, which i own. i plan on reading the other two eventually even though i'm still not sure how i feel about Earth X. Since it's just an alternate future i guess i'm ok with it. it's just so bleak. honestly, its ending seemed good to me, leading me to wonder how necessary the other two will feel, especially considering Paradise X was never really finished, was it?

  • @MrSuperKello yeah, i don't like that i had to cut it off where i did (wanted to let the first 4 full measure play), but time was an issue.

i wasn't aware of the (negative) speculation surrounding Shadowland. i find it hard to believe that its tie-ins could be viewed as fluff moreso than any of the Marvel crossovers of the past few years (House of M stands out as especially guilty of this)

well, New Avengers retrospective pt.2 is next on the docket, hopefully. thanks for watching,

  • I was totally wondering where you were. I liked the bit of Relient K there at the beginning.

Shadowland has potential, and it has been a long time since DD was tied directly into any crossover. I think a lot of people are looking down on Shadowland because some of the tie-ins look like absolute fluff.

I'm still looking forward to that New Avengers follow up, but no pressure.

  • @EnduranceProductions thanks a lot. i'm glad to be back. my stare can make people's hearts explode so i had to edit it.
