I can't believe how many people STILL do not understand he is pursuing a very admirable cause. This man has devoted his entire adulthood to raising public awareness and to take the power away from a very hurtful word. Can it be done? Yes. Will he be able to do it? Not now, not with how ignorant people are. They hear him say "nigger" and then assume he's a racist.

@FlakeyFreakout And it can not be compared alongside the less toxic "Faggot",which is a term mostly associated with a lifestyle that bigots believe centers around a certain sexual act,not the fact of ones birth colour.
It can be placed in the same league as "Whore",another spite word used to take away the worth of a person.
But "Whore" is again another white mans word.

Teh word "Nigger" is a white mans word.A word invented to make black people feel less than,and allow them to be treated as than less human.
Apparently now good progressive white folks want to wash their hands of this word and leave the black community to deal with it.
"Nigger" isn't "Nigga",and white people are still very much able to use this word we invented to denigrate our fellow human beings.
This is still a fashionable hate word for white use.
