What about Five's swordfight with the Master, Four punching and pointing guns at people in The Seeds of Doom? What about Hartnell whaking people with his stick? What about Matt Smith beating a dalek with a spanner or blowing up a fleet of Cybermen? What about the Time War? He fought on the front lines. The 'fact' that the Doctor is a pacifist just isn't true. He'd like to be one, but isn't one.
