After 20 years of absence, retail chain store-Nakumatt finaly opened a store in Nakuru, a town it traces it beginnings to. The store opened it 36th branch in the town, putting up a 250 million shilling hypermarket. Starting out as Nakurumatress, the firm has since rolled out to various towns in Kenya as well as neighboring Uganda, Rwanda and more recently Tanzania.
@NusuKappeti when i visited USA i met one in NYC who have never stepped in Kenya but he has a Kenyan Passport!!!!!

@Laivlee: I have even met some here in the States working at Boeing with Kenyan passports and don't speak english nor swahili! Mind boggling!!!

As much as i appreciate the indian community efforts to invest in Kenya and Hire our people, we must also mulika the bad side: in immigration services, we have corrupt officials who are letting Indians from India acquire Kenyan Passports and at an alarming rate. Some factories in Kenya have Indian who dont speak English or Kiswahili. Let us not sell our country. The Kenyan Indian who were brought by the British are enough.
