Ubuntu 7.04(Feisty Fawn) Beryl

This is me just recording my new Ubuntu layout after upgrading to Feisty Fawn. Keep in mind that it runs smoother then in the video, its the recording program. I'll update a 100% smooth one later. (hopefully 100% smooth).

Ubuntu is a distribution type of linux. Beryl is some software running on the Ubuntu platform to enable these "eye candy" features.

I believe Beryl is now a part of Compiz Fusion, I'm not too sure though.

Yes to your first question. It is your multiple desktops, wrapped around a cube. On the bottom panel, you'll see at the right the workspaces changing as I do stuff on different sides of the cube.

What I love about linux is that everything is free. EVERYTHING. Even the linux itself. And you can find ALL the code, tamper with it, mod it, port it, etc. This is FREEDOM.

Yes Beryl is now Compiz.

Compiz is available for ubuntu among with other distros.

Thanks heaps for the vid, it actually made me get ubuntu. but seriously, how do you do it up? like how can you zoom out and switch between windows and like.. you know just do it up make effects when you close windows and things. but mainly HOW DO YOU ZOOM OUT AND SWITCH BETWEEN WINDOWS! i've got updated so i have both gnome and what ever the other one is..im using gnome at the moment though. thanks ^^
