My attempt at a John Williams-esque cue for the new "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" film.

Hopefully the music speaks for itself without me needing to explain it! Please comment! XD

  • People complain about how unrealistic having aliens in the film is, nobody complains about the Ark of the Covenant making people's faces explode etc. It's entertainment, have fun with it.

And btw, this is a good imitation of Williams' style, nice one ;)

  • Very nice!

  • So wait you remade the score? This is really good, what program did you use to do this? Please respond buddy!

  • touche, hahaha, I agree, I was just advising in my original post that original fresh music is better than imitations, and, like you said, there's no-one who can do Johnny better than Johnny.

  • I understand, but why I am such a fan of John William's work is because although he has a unique sense of style (his big band approach), it is that style that makes the movies he scores so enjoyable. I am not saying John Williams is perfect for every movie (for example, The Lion King would not have been as great if John Williams was doing it instead of Lebo M), but the kind of movies he scores only get better with him. As long as there are movies like these, few can do it better than Johnny,

  • Willy, I appreciate your enthusiasm on a great composer such as john Williams, but we must remember that he's just a man, and there is a reason that he's only scored so many movies. There are many instances when his music is just not the right thing a for a movie. That's where other composer's styles come into play. A great composer only exists when he makes something new and fresh. Alas, stale recycled music won't make a great composer. Only new developements in music give birth to greatness.

  • There is no such thing as enough John WIlliams.

  • A good imitation of John Williams, but I should tell you that a film composer named Jeff Rona once gave me some good advice saying "Don't give someone a John Williams rip-off unless they specifically say:'Hey, got any John Williams rip-offs?'" You seem to have some good musical talent, so I suggest you embrace it and develope your own unique style; the world has enough of John Williams already.

  • This is awesome. Sounds exactly like John Williams work. A teenie bit melo - dramatic, still awesome... Keep on. You're Great.

  • Thank You!!!! People are so...(You fill in the rest)... It was the 50's for goodness sake. All of the topics were HOT topics then. And when has anyone known an Indy film to not be about the supernatual? Finally, someone I can agree with. People have been affected by the GARBAGE they pay to go see and like, they've completely forgotten the value and fun of a good old fashioned movie - with some computer graphics. 5 stars for this movie. Thanks.

  • I found that the sci-fi angle and the aliens worked. Afterall, the film is set in the 1950's and during that period there was alot of sci-fi B movies. I give the film a 5 star rating out of five and think that Speilberg and Lucas made the right decision.
