Bush always asked a liberal to ask the first question. Obama did not call one single conservative and the questions on the victory mosque were planted.

@statewithinastateuk Liberal versus conservative is a media created fiction to heighten ratings and divide those succumb easily to that mindset. Not that is matters but the Bush White House banned all staff members from appearing on MSNBC and did not credential Maureen Dowd for the majority of his administration. Both parties play the same game. If you paid attention, you would have realized the black reporter who asked Obama about the mosque was from Fox.

It's a Poor and Weak President, that blames others, his predecessor, the Republicans, the founding fathers, the Tea Party, Joe Biden, his Dog, etc., for his, own Responsibilities and Actions, and or Inactions, which have caused great harm and damage to America, and the American People.

There's so little I like about Obama and his initial reaction in support of the mosque was too mealy-mouthed with the day after clarification, but here he demonstrates again that he's a great speaker and his response is 100% correct.

Thank you, Mr. President, for showing such a good example as an American and as a true Christian. Your words and your actions show that you truly love your neighbors. Thank you for putting into words so clearly the sentiment of (what at least I hope is) the majority of Americans, standing up for religious freedom while reiterating the need to protect ourselves from the actions of religious extremists, Islamic, Christian, or otherwise.

I wish that the Obama and Muslim haters out there would recognize that they are being played. Played by the very people that attacked us on 9/11 and being played by the far right wing in this country and around the world who greatly benefit from arms sales and many other things that conflict generates. Divide and conquer has and always will work if the conquered don't see the futility of their prejudices. What a world that we could have if we woke up from this madness.

@21tictac There is one big problem Obama is following Bush policies and putting them on steroids. That is why we are so slow to see recovery. The economy goes through ups and downs naturally. But the more government intervenes in downturns the longer a recession last. You can see that throughout our history. When Government stays out of the way and lets the economy correct itself we have a much faster recovery. The bigger gov. grows the more costly it is for all of us.
