Awesome job, looks great! I was thinking about making a canopy for my 60 Gallon Rectangular tank. This gave me some insight. My only question is, how far are the light bulbs from the water? Also, are they protected from splashing/sprinkles? 5 Stars!

The lights were originally about 2.5-3 inches from the water, but the canopy has them lowered to 2 inches. They are Sundial T5's and come with a clear plastic splash guard.
