Nice! I remember a different version of this song during the end credits, a guy with a lower voice.  Somehow that "stop over" stays in my mind. The road without end. . . (Arf! Arf!)

===sniff== it still makes me teary! Thank you for posting this. My parents used to raise GSDs when I was a kid, and this show used to make me cry. I remember the closing theme vividly, and feeling sooooooo sorry for that poor dog out there alone in the world. That train.....those tracks.... poor lost dog. WAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
