Addendum: just noticed that the lines on the fence, although SLIGHTLY angled, are almost vertical on-screen and nowhere NEAR as angled as on the floor.
I just noticed something interesting. Look closely at 0:30-0:32. The fence and everything behind it is at an impossible angle. The shot is anti-logical and anti-geometrical. And you don't notice it unless you know what to look for because everyone KNOWS fences have to be straight. On Rena's side the fence is huge, but on Keiichi's side it's tiny. Psychologically, Rena is in control there... so yeah, it might've been an animation mistake like some other ones, but the result is amazing and scary!
@vanishy0urself Although I will say that I am a pretty good AMV maker, there's still some people who can make Higurashi vids that top mine 100 times over lmao XD Sad thing is that not too many people make Higurashi amvs that are any good(stabbing/torture/etc.) but yeah...way off topic o.o Oh yeah glad I could help with your homework XD If you want, I could PM you some of the BEST Higurashi videos there are in all of youtube XD They'll entertain you more than this boring old vid anyways lmao
@vanishy0urself lol like I said, the main reason I make Higurashi vids, aside from getting more people to watch higurashi, is to show that it isnt only Shion raping everyone(especially poor satoko ;w;) with her tazer/knife and that it actually has a meaning behind it, although this is a rather old-ish amv so Idk if that would apply to this one or w/e, but anyways to answer your question, yes ^^ the biggest reason I started amv making was to break those "rules" lol -continues comment below XD-
@ShionSonozaki2 It helped a lot, thank you! Of course I can't know how it could've been otherwise, but this was one of the more effective pieces to make me less sleepy, so if not for these 3 minutes and 13 seconds, I might have received a lesser grade. :P
Watched it right now for a pick-me-up after a nap, all I can say is, it's just as effective as two days ago. :)
There's one thing I want to know about: when you break the "rules" of Higurashi AMVs like I said... it's intentional, right? ;)
Really, I stumbled upon this almost entirely by accident. Two days ago back then I needed to do some homework and stuff, but I was like REALLY sleepy. So I was listening to some of my favorite pick-me-up music, including the better songs by LP, and when I got to "Papercut" I saw this as a response and I was like "wait, WHAT?!"
It's far more suspenseful than I though possible for this song. It picked me up REALLY well. ;)
@vanishy0urself Well if you like amvs like that then you should definately check out my other Higurashi vids :D Especially the bittersweet memories one ^^ (Not trying to be annoying or anything by asking o.o)
@ShionSonozaki2 it's even better if you've seen a few other Higurashi AMVs, because then you know certain patterns that AMV makers just do. And your AMV continuously subverts those expectations, setting you on the edge and then never letting it come. It's either not there (fake scare) or something different. (you're caught off-guard)
And in at least one case (not spoiling the AMV) when you finally stop believing a certain scene's there, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD it's there. Right near the end too.
2:08 yeah! kill the pink haired bitch. Man i hate pink.
