The Bible teaches "Total Depravity". But the heresy of Calvinism goes beyond the Biblical teaching to claim that man is not only depraved and utterly lost but that, even when the Gospel is preached the sinner cannot believe and be saved. Calvinism falsely claims that the Gospel is POWERLESS to save and only those forced to believe on the basis of unconditional election by means of irresistible grace can believe. This is BLASPHEMY. Romans 1:16 and the rest of Scripture refutes the heresy of Calvinism.
