Shatterhand (NES) vs Tokyuu Shirei Solbrain (Famicom)

Shatterhand is one of the best action games on the NES. The Japanese version is based off one of Toei Animation's "tokusatsu" (special effects) super hero shows, where stuff such as Power Rangers/Zyuuranger and Ultraman fall under that category. The story was changed as well as the characters. But word has it that it's really unknown which came first because the USA doesn't put out the approximate release dates of their games unlike the Japanese do. But it is a fact all three, Shatterhand, and Solbrain the game and the TV show; were released in 1991.

I had the solbrain as a "robocop" pirated cartidge, but when I searched for the Shatterhand rom I noticed a stage and some bosses are modified.. heck, the last area is different. They did a decent job changing a game somewhat from the other.

I used to play this game on the NES. I wanted to find this game but it was hard to find. Because the cart I had back then was called Robocop 3.

@orochi316 My cart was pirated too... but I never tried that. You see, I was so obsessed with defeating the looping boss from Stage 2, I managed to get almost unharmed through both stages, only to get stuck there.

@MasterMacLeod It's actually u press START + UP simultaneously, but this will only work on pirated cartridge. I was also stuck on stage 2 where the boss fight had loop over and over again, again this is the pirated cartridge, but i did enjoy kicking his ass!! =D

@MasterMacLeod Hell yeah! I remember playing it like hell but never managed to get past stage 2 lol! I used to beat up this elevator boss over and over again for nothing lol!

I also remember pausing the game and holding SELECT button + up did restore your health, or something like that...

Like most of u guys... i had the same robocop 3 pirated cartridge and i was looking for this game for more than 4 days but yesterday i`ve managed to find it! Solbrain is way better than Shatterhand :D :P
