  • @ferbrz Thanks! Yeah i figured it out now, i was a bit worried at first haha

  • just turn up the music so it'll fade out

  • @UTUBE3JC That noise is completely normal. The HD has a mechanism for parking the read/write head when it senses movement, to protect the disc surface from damage. Basically, whenever it senses sudden movement, it quickly switches off the HD for a second to prevent damage to your data. Nothing to worry about, it's a feature, not an issue. It's supposed to make a noise, that's how you know it's working.

  • Is it under warranty? If so, demand a replacement! BE INSISTENT! Apple won't just do it if you're not adamant about it. Keep booking appointments and taking it in and tell them you're going to keep taking this machine in until they exchange it for you! Call Apple Care over the phone, explain to the person that the genius is not helping, ask the person to put a manager on the line and explain how unhappy you are. Trust me, Apple is good, but you have to insist a lot.

  • @RizzyWow did they?

  • I literally brought a new macbook pro a month ago, mines just started to make this noise... Luckily Apple have said they will look at it and I'm hoping they fix it.

  • Wonder if you guys can help me, i had a screen replaced due to a broken hinge on my 15 inch macbook pro. However I'm noticing a very very very quiet grinding noise not even sure its a grinding noise, when i open my mac past 90 degrees and close it again?? is a mac meant to make some noise at the hinges?? I have the 2011 model i7

  • WOW THAT SUCKS SORRY BRO,,

  • who cares about clicking! you're wearing out the hinge every time you open/close the screen. Just be happy you got that powerful beast laptop

  • Well, it's not a luxurious Swiss watch. Assembly has some margins (in mm).

One thing I can tell you is that there's nothing to worry about.
