Here I´m testing the "50", "250" and "500" positon of the varitone. The 50 is good for more acoustic tone, and the 500 is fatter, bluesy, jazzy and old rock and pop.

  • Hi mate looking to buy one, well i think i just have! How does it play?

  • @Howardmoon87

    It plays fine, no problem.

I could get a nice action. All OK.

My bass was made in Korea, in 2007.

  • Thanks for the demo. Nice variety of sounds. I am considering getting this model. Nice Jack Bruce line at the end. :)

  • @likew0wman

Yes, it´s a good bass for the money.

    Hi:

I have some vintage Höfners, and I had Höfner copies. The JC can brings you a very fat and warm tone since it have a tree position varitone. The pickup is very decent and with the "500" position it sounds very warm and fat.

It´s very interesant the fat and warm sound with a full 34" scale.

    Good luck.

  • @Santi66 Cool, thanks. I did some recording last week for a demo and we used an Epiphone Viola bass. Sounded really fat and warm. Was wondering what the JC would sound like in the same situation.

  • @FriendlyShadow1 It means that the sides of the fingerboard are a bit sharp and could be rounded off. The bass is so neck heavy that the neck digs into the hand a bit when standing up. Some people probably don't mind but I found it a bit uncomfortable after a while.

  • @PlayWithYourThumb "Neck needs rolling." Sorry, I'm a newbie, what does this mean?

  • @PlayWithYourThumb

Thank you so much for your interesant commentaries.

    Cheers
