The Mythbusters used very small excavators (looked like a John Deere 135D, and a Kobelco Bladerunner) . Judging by the size of the undercarriage, this hoe looks to be a Hitachi ex550, which has leaps and bounds more power then the small backyard machines Mythbusters used. Therefore a bigger bucket could be retrofitted and have more "rowing power" then these puny machines. My 2 cents.

Yeh confirmed but this on the other hand had only one excavator, mithbusters used too and look at the barge it was moving a good 50km an hour this barge is selfpropeled

Ha ha , it's funny how many people would think that's a myth ! There's nothing "mythy" about rowing a boat . Whether you use an oar by hand or the bucket of an excavator , rowing is rowing .

That is so cool. Of all of the things that the mythbusters have tested, this is one video that is true. I cannot see it being busted since it is the same action as using your arm to row in the water. Thankfully, they did prove it.
