一场豪雨过后，零九深港双城双年展预热酒会在威尼斯双年展主展场吉拉蒂尼（Giardini）附近的圣乔治（San Giorgio）号渡轮上举行。策展团队和以市长唐杰为首的深圳市政府代表团共同出席了酒会。建筑师雷姆·库哈斯（ Rem Koolhaas），荷兰国家建筑中心（NAi）总监欧雷·布曼（ Ole Bouman），艺术家玛德兰·维瑞森多普（Madelon Vriesendorp），里昂双年展策展人侯瀚如， 纽约临街屋事务所（Storefront）总监乔瑟夫·格里玛（Joseph Grima）等纷纷到场祝贺
After a short but intense thunderstorm, the launch party of the 09 SZHK Biennale on was held on a ferry boat at SantElena Port close to Giardini, the main exhibition site of the Venice Biennale. The curators and committee of Shenzhen celebrated the launch of the Biennale with guests including architect Rem Koolhaas, director of NAi, Ole Bouman, artist Madelon Vriesendorp, curator of Lyon Biennale Hou Hanru and director of Storefront in New York, Joseph Grima.
